Hello All! You may have noticed that there is a new look for thehalogod.com! I finally finished work on the third iteration of thehalogod.com.

I’ve made it much easier for you to purchase Halo Lessons by offering Paypal links directly on this website instead of requiring you to go over to HaloBoards.com, create an account and then purchase the lessons. You can still purchase lessons from me over at HaloBoards if you set up your free account but if you want to just skip that step look in the upper right hand corner of the site to purchase the lessons there.

Those are links from Archive.org so some of the images aren’t displaying but you can still see the transformation somewhat.

So what do you think of the new look?

I’m currently looking for a few more XBLA gamers that have a talent for writing. I just reopened our search for more reviewers as some of my co-staffers over at XboxLiveArcade.com haven’t been able to write reviews as frequently as I’d like them to. If you have a passion for XBLA games and a talent for writing then contact me via PM over on XboxLiveArcade.com.

What I’d require before adding someone to the staff writing position would be a well written game review of an XBLA game we don’t currently have reviewed (so we can later add it to the site). If you haven’t registered at Xbox Live Arcade yet, then go do that first

Since I first converted this site to a WordPress blog I’ve had a lot of people subscribe to my youtube channel and if you haven’t done it yet, you should! YouTube and this blog are the first two locations that I will post my new videos at. If you subscribe to my YouTube channel, you will be notified as soon as I upload a new video.

Like the YouTube channel, you can also subscribe to my full RSS feed. For those of you that don’t know what an RSS feed is, you can read more about it here. By subscribing to my RSS feed you will be able to read my posts as soon as they’re created without having to manually type the URL to enter the site and check things out.

Obviously, subscribing to both my YouTube channel and my full RSS feed is free so do it now

I currently have 68 YouTube subscribers; however, I have only 8 RSS subscribers and I know more than that many people read my blog, so make sure you subscribe to my RSS feed. Are my RSS numbers low because many of you don’t use RSS? Or perhaps I have to ask nicely for you to do it first ?

There has been a lot of speculation about what would be announced on 7/30 and I’m pleased to announce that on our 730 day anniversary (2 years) GamingVidz.com is having a $730 video contest! $1 for every day the site has been up.

The contest is in association with HaloBoards.com, XboxLiveArcade.com and Perfection-Studios.com

If you want your site featured on the affiliates page, simply send me an email through the contact form or add a comment to this post. In the email or comment include a link to your site where the above affiliate button is located and include your affiliate button in the email or comment as well. The only requirements I have for a website to be put on the affiliates page is that it is a real domain name (i.e. .com, .net .org etc.). I won’t affiliate with any free hosted websites. Welcome to the new version of thehalogod.com! I’m pretty much done updating the site; however, I still need to add pages for purchasing lessons or editing and I also need to add all of my videos back onto the site. I will be uploading all of the videos to my official youtube channel and posting full resolution versions on this site as well.

Part of what makes this new version of the site great is the ability for all of you readers out there to comment on posts that I make. Simply scroll down on your browser to the “Meta” section and click “register.” There you can register for an account which will allow you to write comments on what I post. If you don’t want to register quickly or for free you don’t even have to create an account to comment on a post, but you will have to write in your information each time you want to write a comment (so it’s much easier to just register once so you don’t have to deal with it each time you log in.)

Also, please subscribe to my RSS feed, as well as, my youtube channel so you can get the content from me as soon as it’s posted. This site and my youtube channel will be the first places that my new montages will be posted and videos that I edit for others.
