As a contract game tester at Microsoft, testers are often given the game that we tested for free after it is released. So for me, the first game I was contracted to test was Halo 2 Vista (pretty cool huh?). Anyway, I built a brand new computer and wanted to try playing Halo 2 Vista on it to see how my new machine handled it. I only planned to play it for a few hours, but after a couple hours a day for 5 days I have all of the achievements and don’t care to play the game anymore because I used to test H2V 40 hours a week for about 6 months!
Because I don’t care to keep the game anymore, I am going to give it away for free to anyone in the US. (I’ll have another contest that will involve everyone else later on). Because this game has been opened I want to make this contest really easy to win so here are the simple guidelines:
1. Register on this site and make a comment on this post in 3 sentences or less saying why you deserve to win the game over everyone else.
Yes. This is a really easy contest to win. Creativity and comedy count so keep that in mind when you write your short comment.
The best comment will be chosen by me on Sept. 22nd and the winner will be notified. You will have 48 hours to respond to the email that I will send to the winner with an address where you’d like the package sent or a new winner will be selected.
And although this isn’t a requirement of the contest, I’d appreciate it if you subscribe to my RSS feed. Subscribing will allow you to keep track of my newest videos and more contests. As I said before, I’ll have something for my foreign friends after Halo 3 is out.

Hi my names is James, and theses are the reasons I deserve to win halo 2.1, I am a aspiring haloist and play for about 2 hours a day(at my friend’s house). I case you’re wondering, I’m not chinese.2, I love the game. Halo is the best game invented hands down, and getting this game would brighten my life for all the rest of the years that i’m addicted. 3, I don’t have a xbox. I know this is an eternal shame, but I can’t afford it(or halo2). 4, I’ve seen your videos and you rock like no other. The times when you sticky people…they just blow my mind. WoW!!!!! I would greatly appreciate it, if I could have this copy of the game. I recently just had surgery on my shoulder and my family had to pay $3500. My dad promised me Halo 3 when it came out, but he can’t get it for me now, and I have nothing to do around the house. The reason you should send me your copy of H2V is because we used to play halo 2 for the xbox together (althoug I was on my brother’s account) and you made me want to get more into the game to get better. I challenged you to a game of 1v1 snipers and I couldn’t beat you and you were noscoping! I was so amazed and if you send me the game, I will play it more than my parents would like just to see if I can become as good as you.
PS: I forgot the account name you were on at the time, but you had a friend that had one just like it and they both had real life names in them like Jason and something else that started with a “J” in the other.(My brother’s account name was XViper VenomX at the time)

Hello I saw this and i think the reason i should get the game is because ive had some bad shit happening to me and i havent been able to get anything halo for a long time. I cant even get a job to try and buy it for a short amount of time and im not even gurranted the job so if you could just help me out and give me it that would mean everything in the world cause i had to seel my xbox and games to pay for bills and stuff but yeah thats my story hope you send it.

Nice contest, Chris, glad to see your posting more, I try to run by here and your personal blog every week. I remember you talking about how you were a beta tester for H2V on Haloboards and I was highly anticipating the game. I played Halo PC a lot and I really want this game, I’m upgrading my PC soon, so hopefully I can handle this. I’ve been meaning to subscribe to your RSS feed on both blogs, I’ll do that now. I deserve to win H2 Vista because my birthday is September 24th and it would be a great early birthday present to know I won. Me and my brother had always looked up to you, we had always loved to watch montages and machinimas, but your montages stood out. You were my favorite halo player and it makes me happy to see how popular and contributing to all halo community’s you have been. You even own your own community’s, which i know is a hard task to accomplish as I am a webmaster myself, but you are a true inspiration. May thehalogod live on! I’m not going to say i deserve anything, I get a minimum wage paycheck and play Halo 2 Xbox and haven’t even installed my copy of Vista. Please do not consider me a person who wants this, I am simply replying to say you are a great person for giving this away rather than selling it on eBay.

I only play Halo 2 when I’m teaching lessons, which is pretty frequently but not nearly as much as when I was practicing for MLG’s. iR is coming back for H3 though…

Hmmm…well u should know me in case you don’t it’s STA from HB, Ive been active on HB for a while now. and before I to go to college I would like to play some more of it and make the best time out of the time I have now, I currently quit halo b/c it’s too addicting and I have to get over it, however I will still post at HB b/c i love every1 there.
